Yes, absolutely. Our programs are built with progressive overload in mind.
What is progressive overload?
Progressive overload is how your body gets stronger, more toned, and more capable over time. It simply means increasing the challenge placed on your muscles gradually so your body keeps adapting.
Many people think this means doing the same exercises week after week and just adding reps or weight. But that’s only one way to apply progressive overload.
How does Studio Era do it?
In our programs, you might not repeat the exact same exercises each week, but your muscles are still getting what they need.
We focus on hitting the main movement patterns (like squats, hinges, pushes, pulls, etc.) multiple times per week. That ensures you’re getting enough volume for each major muscle group, especially your glutes, legs, core, and upper body.
You’ll see different variations of exercises, but the muscles being worked stay consistent, so you're still building strength and muscle tone.
So how do I apply progressive overload?
This part is up to you, and that’s actually a good thing!
You can increase the challenge by:
Adding more weight
Slowing down your tempo
Doing an extra rep or two
Improving control or range of motion
You don’t need to do all of these at once. Even small adjustments can help you keep progressing over time.
Why not stick to the same exercises every session?
Mixing up the variations keeps your workouts fresh, fun, and effective, while still targeting the same muscle groups. This helps avoid boredom and can even reduce plateaus by challenging your body in new ways.
And because the volume is spread out across the week, you’re still giving each muscle group plenty of attention, even if the exact moves change.
Bottom line: Yes, progressive overload is built into the program, and we give you the tools to apply it in a way that works for your body.
