How to play Studio Era workouts on your laptop (if casting isn’t working)

Updated this week

Studio Era is designed as a mobile-first experience — that’s what allows the app to integrate with features like step tracking, barcode scanning, and camera check-ins, which aren’t available on most laptops or desktops.

There’s no browser or desktop version of the app, but you can still enjoy your workouts on a bigger screen by mirroring your phone to your laptop using a free screen mirroring tool like Let’s View.

Why the cast icon might be missing

If you’ve tried casting from your phone to your laptop and don’t see a cast icon, that’s normal. Most laptops (especially Windows or older Macs) don’t support native casting.

Casting between different systems — like iPhone to Windows — often doesn’t work by default either.

Use Let’s View to mirror your screen

Let’s View works across all devices:

  • iPhone → Windows

  • Android → Mac

  • And everything in between

Step-by-step: How to use Let’s View

1. Download Let's View on both devices:

  • On your phone: Search “Let’s View” in the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android)

  • On your laptop: Go to letsview.com and download the desktop version

2. Connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi network This is essential. It won’t work otherwise.

3. Open Let’s View on both your phone and your laptop: It will automatically start searching for nearby devices.

4. On your phone, select your laptop from the list: Then choose “Phone Screen Mirroring” or “Live Mirroring”

5. Start your workout in the Studio Era app: Your screen will now be mirrored to your laptop — and your workout will display full-screen.
