Can I cast Studio Era workouts to Fire TV?
It depends on your device.
Android → Fire TV: Supported
iPhone/iPad → Fire TV or Fire TV Stick: Not supported
So, if you're using an Android device, you can use the available Fire TV casting path. If you're using an iPhone or iPad, Fire TV isn't a supported casting option.
Casting from Android to Fire TV
If you're using an Android device, Fire TV is an available casting option.
To get started:
Make sure your Android device and Fire TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Open the Studio Era app on your Android device.
Start the workout you want to watch.
Use the available casting option to connect to your Fire TV.
Once connected, your workout should appear on your TV.
If you're having trouble connecting, make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network and that you're using the latest version of the Studio Era app.
Using an iPhone or iPad with Fire TV
If you only have an iPhone and a Fire TV Stick, there's currently no supported workaround we can recommend.
We know that's frustrating, especially if Fire TV is the setup you already have. We don't want to send you down a rabbit hole trying workarounds that Studio Era doesn't officially support.
If you're casting from an Apple device, you can instead use:
A TV or streaming device with native AirPlay or AirPlay 2 support
Google TV or Chromecast
Many smart TVs from brands such as Samsung, LG, Sony, and Vizio support AirPlay, but compatibility can vary by model. The important thing is that your specific TV or device has native AirPlay/AirPlay 2 support.
What about AirScreen or other casting apps?
You may have seen third-party apps such as AirScreen that allow you to mirror or cast an iPhone to Fire TV.
Unfortunately, Studio Era doesn't support or troubleshoot third-party casting or mirroring apps.
These apps can also cause playback issues, such as:
You hear the workout, but the screen is blank
You receive a playback error
The workout doesn't play correctly
The connection doesn't work as expected
Because these apps aren't supported by Studio Era, we can't guarantee that they'll work or troubleshoot issues caused by them.
What can I use instead?
If you're casting from an iPhone or iPad, use a TV or device with native AirPlay/AirPlay 2 support, or use Google TV/Chromecast.
If you're using Android, Fire TV is an available casting path.
You can also watch Studio Era workouts directly on your mobile device if casting isn't an option with your current setup.
