Getting Started

Updated over a week ago

This guide will walk you through everything you need to start strong and stay consistent. We’ll keep it simple and show you exactly how to use the app to reach your goals, step by step.

Nutrition

Nutrition is a key factor in achieving fat loss and overall fitness results. Studio Era makes nutrition simple by giving you a daily calorie limit and personalized macro goals. These targets for protein, carbohydrates, and fat are tailored to your age, weight, goals, and other factors.

The most important things to focus on are:

  • Stay within your daily calorie limit

  • Get as close as possible to your protein target

To learn how to reach your nutrition goals with ease, follow this guide: Hit Your Nutrition Targets Using the App.

Workouts

Studio Era workouts are short, effective, and designed to fit your lifestyle. They focus on strength training, which is the fastest way to sculpt your body and boost your metabolism.

To stay consistent, choose the workout style that works best for you. We recommend starting with a structured workout program.

  • Workout Program: 6–8 weeks, 3–5 days per week

  • Workout Challenge: 2–4 weeks, every other day

  • Single On-demand Workout: Choose any single workout

For the best experience, play your workouts on a TV or laptop. Learn how to do this in our guide: How to Play Workouts on Your TV or Laptop.

Steps

Walking is one of the simplest and most effective ways to support fat loss. It boosts your metabolism, helps regulate appetite, and keeps your body burning calories even on rest days.

Your daily step goal is an important part of your progress, especially if fat loss is your focus. Make sure to connect your step tracker so Studio Era can monitor your activity and help you reach your target.

Learn how to connect your step tracker to Studio Era here: How to Connect Your Step Tracker.

Check-Ins

Check-ins are a powerful tool to track your progress. Day-to-day changes can be hard to notice, but comparing photos taken a few weeks apart can reveal transformations you might have missed.

Seeing your progress side by side is highly motivating and helps you stay consistent. We recommend doing a check-in once a week, ideally at the same time, with the same lighting and outfit.

Even if the scale doesn’t change, your body might be transforming, and tracking ensures you can see it.

Tips for success

There is a lot of confusion about fitness and fat loss, but the truth is simple. If you stay consistent with your food, steps, and workouts, you will get results.

  • Be consistent, not perfect

It is okay to slip up. Simply get back to the plan. One off day will not ruin your progress, but quitting will.

  • Track everything

Most people hit a plateau because they are eating more than they realize. It is not about being overly strict, it is about being honest. Untracked snacks, bites, or drinks can add up quickly. Logging provides clarity, not guilt.
