How to cancel your Studio Era membership or free trial

Learn how to cancel your Studio Era membership or free trial, confirm that your cancellation was completed, and understand what to check if you see a charge afterward.

We’re sorry to see you go! We want to make cancelling your membership as straightforward as possible.

You can begin the cancellation process through the Studio Era app, whether you use an Android or Apple device.

Important: Deleting or uninstalling the Studio Era app does not cancel your membership. You must complete the cancellation steps below.

How to cancel your membership through the Studio Era app

  1. Open the Studio Era app.

  2. Select the Account tab.

  3. Select Manage Subscription.

  4. Select Cancel Subscription.

  5. Follow all remaining prompts until the cancellation is confirmed.

The final steps may be completed through Studio Era or Apple, depending on where you originally purchased your membership. The screen may look different for each purchase method, but you can continue by following the prompts shown.

Keep any cancellation confirmation you receive or take a screenshot for your records.

Understanding how your membership is managed

All customers can begin the cancellation process through the Studio Era app. However, the company that processed the original purchase manages the subscription itself.

Membership purchased through Studio Era

Studio Era manages memberships purchased through:

  • The Studio Era website

  • The Studio Era Android app

  • A Studio Era checkout page

This can also apply if you currently use an iPhone or iPad but originally subscribed through the Studio Era website.

Studio Era Support can help manage these memberships and investigate questions about direct Studio Era charges.

Membership purchased through Apple

Apple manages memberships purchased through the Studio Era iPhone or iPad app using Apple’s subscription system.

Signs that Apple manages your membership include:

  • Studio Era appears under your Apple subscriptions

  • You received a subscription receipt from Apple

  • The purchase appears in your Apple purchase history

Because Apple processes and manages these subscriptions, Studio Era cannot:

  • Cancel the subscription on your behalf

  • Issue or approve a refund

  • Change your Apple payment method

  • Make changes to the subscription through your Apple Account

Cancellation and refund requests must be completed directly through Apple. Studio Era Support can still help you identify whether your membership was purchased through Apple and investigate problems accessing Studio Era after your purchase.

Alternative: cancel an Apple subscription through Settings

If your membership was purchased through Apple, you can also cancel it directly through your iPhone or iPad settings.

This option may be useful if you cannot access the Studio Era app, have already deleted it, or prefer to manage the subscription directly through Apple.

  1. Open the Settings app.

  2. Tap your name.

  3. Tap Subscriptions.

  4. Select Studio Era.

  5. Tap Cancel Subscription.

  6. Follow the prompts to confirm.

If there is no Cancel Subscription button or you see an expiration message in red, the subscription is already cancelled.

Need help from Apple?

Use the Apple support option that matches what you need:

How do I cancel my free trial?

Cancel your free trial using the same process as a paid membership:

  1. Open the Studio Era app.

  2. Select the Account tab.

  3. Select Manage Subscription.

  4. Select Cancel Subscription.

  5. Follow all remaining prompts until the cancellation is confirmed.

Complete the cancellation before your trial ends to prevent it from renewing into a paid membership.

After cancelling, you can continue using Studio Era until the trial expires.

For subscriptions purchased through Apple, Apple recommends cancelling a free or discounted trial at least 24 hours before the trial ends.

For more information about trial eligibility, billing dates, prices, and promotional terms, see Pricing, plans, and current promotions.

How do I know my cancellation was completed?

The confirmation may look different depending on where you purchased your membership.

Keep in mind
Continuing to have access after cancelling is expected because Studio Era remains available until the end of the paid period or free trial. However, continued access by itself does not confirm that the cancellation was successfully completed.

If your membership is managed by Studio Era

Look for one or more of the following:

  • An on-screen cancellation confirmation

  • A cancellation confirmation email

  • Confirmation that automatic renewal is no longer active

  • An expiration or access-end date, if displayed

Keep the confirmation email or take a screenshot for your records.

If your membership is managed by Apple

Go to:

Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Studio Era

The subscription is already cancelled if:

  • There is no Cancel Subscription button

  • Apple shows an expiration message in red

  • Apple indicates that the subscription will not renew

Cancelling one membership does not automatically cancel another Studio Era membership purchased separately.

What happens after I cancel?

Once cancellation has been successfully completed, future automatic renewals are turned off for that specific membership.

  • If you have a paid membership, you can continue using Studio Era until the end of the period you already paid for.

  • If you are in a free trial, you can continue using Studio Era until the trial expires.

  • Cancelling does not automatically refund a payment that has already been processed.

If you decide to return later, you can subscribe again using the plans and offers available at that time.

Can I pause my membership instead of cancelling?

Studio Era does not currently offer an option to pause your membership or place your subscription billing on hold.

If you need to stop future renewals, cancel your membership using the instructions above. You will continue to have access until the end of your current paid billing period.

You can subscribe again when you are ready to return. The plans, prices, or promotions available at that time may be different from those included with your previous membership.

Pausing or rescheduling your workout program is different from pausing your membership and does not stop subscription billing.

For instructions on taking a break from your scheduled workouts, see How to pause, save, or resume your workout program.

Does deleting the app cancel my membership?

No. Deleting or uninstalling the Studio Era app does not cancel your membership.

Your subscription may continue renewing even if the app is no longer installed on your device. Complete the cancellation before deleting the app.

If you have already deleted the app:

  • Reinstall the Studio Era app and follow the cancellation instructions above, or

  • If you purchased through Apple, use the Apple Settings instructions in this article

After cancelling, you can continue using Studio Era until the end of your current paid period or free trial. You can delete the app whenever you no longer need access.

If you also plan to delete your Studio Era account, complete the membership cancellation first.

I can’t complete or confirm my cancellation

First, try the cancellation path again:

Studio Era app → Account → Manage Subscription → Cancel Subscription

Then check that:

  • You are signed in to the Studio Era account connected to your membership

  • You are using the email address originally entered when subscribing

  • The Studio Era app is updated to the latest available version

  • You have closed and reopened the app

  • You completed all cancellation prompts

  • You have checked your email for a cancellation confirmation

  • Your membership does not already show an expiration or access-end date

If you purchased through Apple, or think that you may have, you can also check the subscription directly through:

Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Studio Era

Make sure you are signed in to the Apple Account used for the purchase. If you have used more than one Apple Account, check each one.

If you still cannot complete or confirm the cancellation, see Still need help?

I cancelled, but I was still charged

A charge after cancellation can happen for different reasons. Start by confirming that the cancellation applies to the same membership that generated the charge.

1. Compare the charge date and cancellation date

Check when the payment was processed and when the cancellation was completed.

Cancelling stops future renewals. It does not automatically reverse a payment that was processed before the cancellation was completed.

Also confirm that you completed every cancellation step and received confirmation. Starting the cancellation process without completing the final prompts may leave the membership active.

2. Confirm which membership you cancelled

Check whether the cancellation applied to:

  • A membership purchased through Apple

  • A membership purchased through the Studio Era website or Android app

It is possible to have an Apple membership and a separate membership managed directly by Studio Era. Cancelling one does not automatically cancel the other.

3. Search the email accounts you can access

Search for subscription, purchase, welcome, and cancellation emails from Studio Era and Apple.

Check any accessible email address you may have used, including:

  • Your current personal email

  • An older or secondary email

  • A work email

  • The email connected to your Apple Account

  • Spam, junk, and promotions folders

Receipts can help you identify which email addresses were used, where the membership was purchased, and whether more than one purchase was made.

4. Consider whether another or misspelled email address may be involved

Another membership may have been created if you:

  • Subscribed using a different email address

  • Entered your email address incorrectly when joining

  • Used a small variation or typo, such as .con instead of .com

  • Subscribed through Apple using one email and directly through Studio Era using another

  • Cancelled one membership while another remained active

If an email address was entered incorrectly, you may not be able to access the account or find messages sent to it.

If you think this may have happened, see Still need help?

5. Check your Apple subscriptions

On an iPhone or iPad, go to:

Settings → your name → Subscriptions

Check whether Studio Era appears and whether the subscription is active, cancelled, or showing an expiration date.

If you have used more than one Apple Account, check whether the purchase is connected to another account.

6. Compare the charge with your receipts

Review:

  • The charge date

  • The amount and currency

  • The transaction name shown on your statement

  • Any Apple or Studio Era receipt

  • The membership and email address shown in your cancellation confirmation

This can help you determine whether the charge belongs to the membership you cancelled or to another purchase.
